I may be the last person on earth making tri-color astrophotos using hypered Tech Pan and Acros.  These pictures require three exposures on black and white film using red, green, and blue filters.

My earlier photos were shot on E200 and printed in my darkroom on Ilfochrome.

  • M20 Tricolor on hypered Tech Pan and hypered Acros
  • NGC 1977, the Running Man nebula
  • M1, the Crab Nebula, a supernova remnant. Also an airplane
  • M33, the Triangulum Galaxy, captured through a C14 onto three sheets of hypered Tech Pan film, using red, green, and blue filters.
  • M33, Pinwheel Galaxy in Triangulum, Luminance
  • An experiment in LRGB, with the three color components combined with an unfiltered luminance frame. Probably a first in film astrophotography.
  • M8, The Lagoon Nebula, captured through a C14 onto three sheets of hypered Tech Pan film, using red, green, and blue filters.
  • NGC6888, Crescent Nebula Tri-Color Hypered Tech Pan and Hypered Acros
  • NGC 7635, the Bubble Nebula. Photographed on hypered Tech Pan and Acros using red, green, and blue filters.
